Applications open for MICRO Hidrogénio until 13 of May of 2026 | Apply here

The micro-accreditation in Fundamentals of Green Hydrogen is part of the training offer oriented to the energy transition and to the technical training of professionals who work or intend to work in the green hydrogen value chain. The growing relevance of this energy vector in industrial decarbonization, sustainable mobility and the integration of renewable energies justifies the need for specialized, short and flexible training.

This micro-credential introduces the fundamental principles of hydrogen as an energy carrier, including physicochemical properties, production processes, storage methods and essential safety principles. The training combines theoretical content with practical activities in a laboratory environment, promoting operational skills and safe behaviors.

ECTS: 3

Objectives

General Objective

To make known the fundamental principles of hydrogen as an energy carrier, including physicochemical properties, production processes, storage methods, and to develop essential skills on safety requirements in the operation of hydrogen systems and equipment.

Specific Objectives

  • Develop essential knowledge about the physicochemical properties of hydrogen and its behavior under different operating conditions.
  • Understand the relevance of green hydrogen in the energy transition.
  • To make known the main production methods and their economic and environmental impacts.
  • Develop knowledge about the safety and regulatory standards applicable to the handling of hydrogen.
  • Develop skills in the safe use of hydrogen systems.

Professional Goals

Although this microcredential is not intended to create new, specific career pathways, the knowledge acquired strengthens the skills of professionals working in the energy, sustainability, and industrial sectors, enabling more informed participation in topics related to hydrogen and the energy transition.
