Gest&9 is a laboratory whose mission is to develop research activities and disseminate scientific knowledge, with an impact on innovation and the development of organizations — both profit and non-profit — in thematic areas such as Management, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Logistics, Production, Organizational Behavior, and Human Resources.


Objectives

The Gest&9 has the following general objectives:

a) To promote reflection, knowledge production, and applied research with an impact on the management, development, and innovation of organizations;
b) To promote the transfer of knowledge to organizations in the region, whether for-profit or non-profit;
c) To develop and collaborate in projects of interest to the IPT and to the region, which may be carried out in partnership with public and private entities, national or international;
d) To support research activities carried out by IPT faculty members, particularly within the context of their postgraduate education (Master’s and PhD programs);
e) To provide material resources to research projects registered within the unit;
f) To contribute to the development of the technical and scientific knowledge of students from different IPT training programs by integrating them into the unit’s activities and fostering project-based learning initiatives;
g) To promote and support the organization of events (conferences, short courses, seminars, workshops, etc.) in the unit’s areas of activity and disseminate their outcomes;
h) To collaborate with other IPT Units.
