Objectives
O1: Understand the role of the arts in preserving and revitalizing heritage - Analyze how the arts contribute to the maintenance and adaptation of tangible and intangible heritage. O2: Explore the interaction between tradition and innovation - Identify ways of reinterpreting traditional skills for contemporary contexts through creative innovation. O3: Relate artistic practices to the cultural economy - Investigate how the valorization of the arts strengthens the cultural economy and guarantees the continuity of heritage. O4: Integrate sustainability principles into creative practices - Examine strategies to minimize environmental impact and promote social and economic resilience through heritage. O5: Analyze the link between heritage, sustainable development and the circular economy - Understand how heritage preservation can contribute to sustainable practices and a circular economy model.

C1: Tradition, Innovation and Cultural Transformations Historical evolution of artistic and heritage practices; innovation and adaptation of cultural traditions; contemporary reinterpretation of heritage; impact of new technologies on the transmission of knowledge. C2: Cultural Economy and Heritage Management Economic models applied to culture;strategic management of heritage;impact of the creative economy on development;public policies and private initiatives to enhance the arts. C3: Sustainability and Cultural Development Sustainability in heritage management;social and economic resilience through the arts;cultural tradition and environmental preservation;sustainability in cultural production and consumption. C4: Heritage, Circular Economy and Sustainable Development Circular economy and heritage; sustainability in the creative industries; governance and protection of heritage; environmental impact and innovative solutions; recycling in the creation of heritage-inspired objects.
Evaluation Methodology
The assessment of the course is based on a continuous and formative model, aimed at consolidating theoretical and practical knowledge, as well as stimulating research and critical thinking. Assessment will be distributed as follows: 1. individual research paper (60%) - Development of a critical essay on a topic covered in the course. If it is of a high standard, it can be adapted into a scientific article and submitted to specialized academic publications. 2. Oral presentation and defense (40%) - Presentation and argumentation of research results, demonstrating clarity of communication, mastery of the subject and capacity for critical analysis. Outstanding work may be presented at specialized conferences in the field.

Teaching Method
The course combines 16 hours of theoretical and practical teaching and 4 hours of seminars, adopting a student-centred pedagogical model focused on active and experiential methodologies.
