At the end of this course, the student should be able to: O1: Critically analyse the interrelationship between communication, art and the media, based on case studies (SDGs 4, 9). O2: Examine the evolution of media and digital technologies in the context of artistic and communication practices (SDGs 10, 16). O3: Identify and evaluate the specificities, limitations and potential of technological media through practical experimentation (SDGs 9, 12). O4: Apply artistic research methodologies in the analysis and production of media content (SDGs 11, 16). O5: Develop projects using emerging digital technologies, assessing ethical implications (SDGs 9, 12, 16).

Evaluation Methodology
The assessment of the course is based on a formative and continuous model, promoting the consolidation of theoretical and practical knowledge, as well as the development of research and critical thinking skills. The assessment process aims to gauge the learning acquired, stimulating reflection on the intersections between communication, art and emerging technologies. Diverse strategies will be adopted to ensure continuous monitoring of students' academic progress. Learning will be assessed through the following moments (M) and elements (E), with the respective weighting: M1 - E1: Individual research work (40% TP) - preparation of a scientific article or critical essay, theoretically grounded, on a topic from the course unit. The work will be subject to peer review, encouraging the exchange of knowledge and deeper analysis. M2 - E2: Practical project and critical reflection (30% PT) - development of an exploratory project at the intersection of communication, art and digital media, applying tools such as AI and NFTs. The project will be accompanied by an informed critical reflection. M3 - E3: Participation in seminars and debates (20% S) - active involvement in discussions, including presentation of case analyses and critical contributions in sessions with researchers from European universities. M4 - E4: Oral presentation and defense (10% PT)
