D Be able to explain the objectives, characteristics, and functions of organizational communication.

F Know which communication channels are appropriate according to the target audience and the type of communication intended.
G Recognize and apply the ways in which digital transformation adds value to organizations.

2 The role of Suppliers, Employees, and Clients within an organization.
3 Types of organizations:
3.1 Companies and Institutions
3.2 Public and Private Entities

3.5 Political Parties
4 The objective of organizational communication.
5 The characteristics of organizational communication.
6 The four types of organizational communication:
Institutional;
Marketing;
Administrative;
Internal.
7 The strategic functions of organizational communication:
7.1 Alignment of efforts;
7.2 Awareness of the employees role;
7.3 Strengthening organizational culture;
7.4 Encouraging appropriate behavior;
7.5 Creating a sense of belonging;
7.6 Generating results.
8 Communication channels:
8.1 Selection of communication channels;
8.2 Communication with external audiences;
8.3 Communication with internal audiences.
9 The impact of digital transformation on organizational communication.
Evaluation Methodology
Continuous Assessment: During this assessment period, the course unit assessment is continuous and results from the following weighted average: Participation: 20% + Theoretical-Practical Assignments: 40% + Final Project Presentation: 40%.
The student passes the course unit in accordance with the provisions set out in Points 11 and 12 of Article 11 of the Academic Regulations of IPT.
Assessment by Examination: Practical assignments carried out throughout the semester 40%; Written assignments carried out throughout the semester 20%
Final Theoretical-Practical Project with presentation 40%
The student must submit the written project up to two days prior to its defense.
In this course unit, Point 3 of Article 11 of the Academic Regulations of IPT Schools (exclusion from examination) applies.
The student passes the course unit in accordance with the provisions set out in Points 11 and 12 of Article 11 of the Academic Regulations of IPT.
Working Students: The assessment method described above also applies to working students. Working students must contact the course instructor during the first two weeks of classes in order to be informed about their assessment process.
Erasmus Students: The assessment method described above also applies to Erasmus students. Erasmus students must contact the course instructor within two weeks of their arrival to be informed about process.

Teaching Method
Combination of expository and active methodologies:
-Class sessions with a component of presentation and theoretical framework;
