Prerequisites
Not applicable

Objectives
I. Understand and relate the set of drawn and written pieces that make up an architectural project, using appropriate information and communication technologies.
II. Interpretation of the project (at the level of communication to the construction site), taking into account the different execution processes, sequence of works, functional requirements, dimensions, technical regulations and knowledge of the usual nomenclature.

III. Understand and use the digital modeling tools necessary for the management of different specialty projects.

Program
1. ICT in AEC (Architecture, Engineering and Construction) activities
2. Functional architectural elements of buildings.
2.1 Graphic representation, scales and regulatory requirements.
3. Organization and development of the construction project
3.1 Architectural design phases
3.2 Legal and regulatory framework: prior control mechanisms and construction regulations
4. Digital technologies in the design process
4.1 Computer-aided design – 2D and 3D
4.2 Introduction to BIM (Building Information Modeling) technology for Architecture.
5. Design elements of the different specialties of a civil construction project.
6. Introduction to BIM technology for the different specialties of a civil construction project.

7. Detailing and detailed drawings.

Evaluation Methodology
Assessment during the period:
Module 1 (m1): points 1 to 4 of the course unit content
NFm1 = [(0.50 x TPm1) + (0.50 x Tm1)]
TPm1: Practical work and Tm1: Assisted drawing test
Module 2 (m2): points 5 to 7 of the course unit content
NFm2 = [(0.50 x TPm2) + (0.50 x Tm2)]
TPm2: average of practical work and Tm2: Written test
Final grade:
NF = 0.50NFm1 + 0.50NFm2
The work is individual.
A minimum grade of 8 (0-20) is considered for each item of the assessment.
Students who obtain a Final Grade (NF) greater than or equal to 9.5 (0-20) in the periodic assessment are exempt from the exam.

Exam: written and practical test (Computer-Aided Drawing)
