Objectives
A. Acquire critical analysis skills on the creative process of making a documentary;
B. Identify ethical principles in the thematic approach of a documentary;
C. Understand the dynamics underlying the production of a documentary;
D. Know the filmography of different directors.
Program
Unique point: The Documentary Seminar curricular unit consists of the participation of personalities from the area in contact sessions with students. Each seminar covers topics proposed by the guests.
Evaluation Methodology
1. Frequency assessment:
1.1 Writing a critical analysis of each session (worth 20% of the final grade; the critical analysis of each session is worth 10%);
1.2 Production of a practical exercise (worth 70%);
1.3 Writing an individual technical report (worth 10%).
2. Exam-based assessment (normal season, appeal season, special season):
2.1 Production of a practical exercise (worth 80%);
2.2 Writing an individual technical report (worth 20%).
The assessment applies to Working Students.
The student obtains approval for the course unit, in accordance with the provisions of Points 11 and 12 of Article 11 of the IPT Academic Regulations. In cases of copying or plagiarism in assessment tests/assignments, applies Article 21 of the IPT Schools Academic Regulations.
