Objectives
A. Understand the fundamental principles of documentary in its dialogue with contemporary times;
B. Know and distinguish emerging forms and innovative approaches to documentary in the digital age;
C. Know geographically and thematically diverse examples of documentaries that have expanded the scope and impact of documentary cinema over the last three decades;
D. Understand contemporary documentaries in their production, collaboration, distribution and exhibition dynamics, and their cultural relevance.
Program
1. Problematize contemporary documentary in its dialogue with contemporary times;
2. Documentary forms, genres and innovations: docufiction; fake documentary; animated documentary; contemporary participatory documentary production; interactive documentary;
3. Documentary in new contexts: voice of television documentary; interrogate the media; documentary and independent author survival; ethics of appropriation; documentary between multiplatform production and cosmopolitan dialogues; documentary and activist video.

1. Frequency assessment
1.1 Attendance and regular intervention on the themes under discussion in class (10%).
1.2 Presentation (15%) and delivery of written work (75%).
2. Exam-based assessment
2.1 Normal Season: delivery of written work (100%)
2.2 Appeal Season: delivery of written work (100%)
2.3 Special Season: delivery of written work (100%)
The evaluation is made in accordance with the provisions of Art. 11 of the Academic Regulation of IPT Schools. Students who obtain a grade equal to or greater than 10 values are waived from the Exam.
