Objectives
On completion of this unit the students should have developed an insight of film history and know the milestones of film history as well as be able to analyse motion pictures and relate works and film-making trends.
Program
I.The alternatives to American classical cinema and its evolution.
II. The European cinema at the turn of the fifties to the sixties.
III. The evolution of modern cinema from the second half of the sixties onwards.
IV.The world cinema from the eighties to the present day.
V. A brief analysis of the transformations during the last decade.
