Objectives
Framed within the strategy of the Government and Tourism of Portugal, this program content is primarily based on the strategic axes outlined in Axis 2 (Boosting the Economy) of the 2027 Strategy. Thus, the goal is for students to be able to:
- Understand entrepreneurship in tourism as a priority element in terms of sectoral policy, capable of attracting investment, talent, and international visitors. Understand the applicability of the concept of innovation in promoting destinations and responding to new digital and societal trends.
- Understand the best entrepreneurship initiatives and practices in tourism, to foster a potential entrepreneurial culture.
- Understand the support lines for financing ideas/start-ups as well as their subsequent internationalization.
- Understand the concept of Business Incubators and their applicability through practical case studies.
- Understand the concept of Stakeholders and their importance in the production and distribution of tourism content/products, especially their horizontal and vertical integration.
