Objectives
Provide students with knowledge of Occupational Safety, Hygiene, and Health.
Become familiar with the main legal frameworks and understand labor rights and duties in this field.
Participate in processes of hazard identification, risk assessment, and implementation of control measures.
Understand the requirements applicable to machinery.

1. Key Concepts of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH).
2. Applicable Legislation and Legal Obligations in OSH.
3. Organization of Occupational Safety and Health Services.
4. OSH Indicators.
5. Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment.
6. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Collective Protective Equipment (CPE).
7. Electrical Hazards.
8. Chemical Hazards.
9. Physical Hazards.
10. Biological Hazards.
11. Machinery and Equipment Safety.
12. Load Handling.
13. Fire Prevention and Protection.
Evaluation Methodology
Continuous assessment:
- Knowledge evaluation will be carried out through the presentation of a project on a topic related to the course (50%) and the submission of a written report on the same topic. Whenever possible, this project should be developed within the students professional context, in the case of working students. The chosen topic must be agreed upon in advance with the course instructor. Additionally, written tests will account for 50%.
Regular and resit examination periods:
- Knowledge evaluation will be carried out through a written exam (100%).
